Setup & Maintenance Guide
Changing strings
Step One
Turn the corresponding fine-tuner knob counterclockwise until the string is completely slack.
Step Two
Use a small screwdriver to loosen the cover plate screws, then use an Allen key to loosen the string lock until the string is released.
Step Three
Rotate the black knob shown in the image to fully loosen the target string; then grip the section of the string seated in the bridge slot and gently lift it upward, as indicated by the arrows, to release it from the bridge’s metal teeth.
Step Four
Align the end of the new string (the string body section) with the corresponding bridge slot and gently place it into the slot until it is seated and secured.
Step Five
Pull the free end (non-ball end) of the new string straight toward the headstock and to the target tuning peg, keep it taut by hand, then cut the string to length with a string cutter.
Step Six
Turn the screw in the direction shown by the arrow in the image (clockwise), tightening it gradually until the lock clasp firmly presses against the string (be mindful of the force and avoid over-tightening to prevent damage).
Step Seven
Turn the corresponding bridge fine-tuner knob clockwise to gradually tighten the newly secured string.
Set the intonation
Step One
Locate the bridge fine-tuner knobs for the string you want to adjust, and turn the two knobs counterclockwise in the direction of the arrows to adjust the height.
Step Two
Loosen the target string to make it easier to move the bridge saddle, insert the L-shaped wrench into the screw hole to adjust it, then once it’s positioned correctly, tighten the screw clockwise to secure it.
Adjusting the truss rod
Insert the hex wrench (the tool shown in the image) into the adjustment hole, ensuring it matches the correct size.
