Baboomin Return & Refund Policy
At Baboomin, we want every player to feel confident when purchasing a high-value instrument online. Because Baboomin basses are carefully inspected, set up, packed, and shipped internationally, all returns and refunds must follow the policy below.
Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.

Return Eligibility
For standard in-stock basses purchased directly through Baboomin.com, customers may request a return within 14 days of delivery.
The return request must be submitted within 14 days of delivery. Once a return is approved, the instrument must be shipped within 7 days of return authorization, unless otherwise agreed in writing by Baboomin.
To start a return, the customer must contact Baboomin first and obtain return approval. Returns sent without prior authorization may be refused.
Return requests must include:
Baboomin reserves the right to approve or reject a return request based on the order type, product condition, delivery date, and the details of the case.

Return Conditions
To be eligible for return, the instrument must be returned in original or near-original condition.
The returned instrument must be:

Free from damage, modification, misuse, unusual wear, smoke odor, moisture damage, or signs of improper storage

Returned with all original accessories, documents, tools, case/gig bag, packaging materials, and any included items

Packed safely in the original shipping box and protective materials

Returned using a trackable and insured shipping method approved by Baboomin
The return window is intended for inspection and evaluation only. It is not a free trial period for performance use, recording, touring, rehearsal, rental, modification, or public content production.
Baboomin reserves the right to reduce the refund amount or refuse the return if the instrument is damaged, modified, missing accessories, improperly packed, or no longer in acceptable resale condition.

Return Authorization
Before sending any product back, the customer must contact Baboomin and receive written return authorization.
Returns sent without written approval, without required documentation, or to an incorrect return address may be refused, delayed, returned to the sender, or deemed ineligible for refund.
The return address may vary depending on the customer’s location, product type, and available logistics solution. Customers should not ship the product back to the original shipping address unless Baboomin confirms it in writing.

Return Shipping Costs
Unless the return is caused by a confirmed Baboomin error, verified manufacturing defect, or other issue approved by Baboomin in writing, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
Return-related costs may include:
For international returns, Baboomin strongly recommends using a trackable and insured shipping method. The customer is responsible for loss, damage, or delays during return shipping unless otherwise agreed in writing.
For non-defective returns, any original shipping cost, duties, taxes, customs fees, or logistics costs paid or absorbed by Baboomin may be deducted from the refund where applicable.

Duties, Taxes, VAT, and Import Fees on Returns
Original import duties, VAT, customs fees, carrier advancement fees, local taxes, brokerage fees, currency conversion fees, and payment processing fees are generally non-refundable unless required by applicable law or agreed by Baboomin in writing.
If the original order was shipped with duties and taxes included, Baboomin will review the return case individually. Any non-recoverable duties, taxes, customs fees, or logistics costs may be deducted from the refund where applicable.
If the customer is responsible for arranging the return shipment, the customer is also responsible for ensuring that the package is declared correctly as a return. Baboomin is not responsible for additional import charges caused by incorrect return declaration, missing paperwork, or customs issues during return shipping.

Refund Amount
After the returned instrument is received and inspected, Baboomin will determine the eligible refund amount.
The final refund may be reduced for:

Missing accessories, tools, documents, case/gig bag, or packaging

Damage, scratches, dents, wear, odor, moisture exposure, or signs of misuse

Unauthorized modification, repair, rewiring, refinishing, sanding, routing, or part replacement

Improper return packaging

Cleaning, setup, repair, repackaging, reinspection, or recertification required before resale

Non-refundable shipping, duties, taxes, payment fees, or other logistics costs
If the instrument shows signs of use beyond normal inspection, Baboomin may deduct repair costs, cleaning costs, missing item costs, repackaging costs, loss of resale value, and the $200 USD restocking fee.
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
Bank processing time may vary depending on the payment method, payment provider, and financial institution.

Restocking Fee
For non-defective returns, Baboomin will charge a $200 USD restocking fee, which will be deducted from the final refund.
The restocking fee helps cover the cost of inspecting, cleaning, setting up, repackaging, payment processing, logistics handling, warehouse handling, and preparing the returned instrument for resale.
For standard in-stock basses returned for personal reasons, Baboomin will deduct a $200 USD restocking fee from the final refund, even if the instrument is unused or in near-new condition.
If the returned instrument shows signs of use, scratches, dents, missing accessories, damaged packaging, modification, odor, moisture exposure, setup issues, or is no longer in directly resellable condition, Baboomin may deduct additional costs for repair, cleaning, missing items, repackaging, setup, or loss of resale value in addition to the $200 USD restocking fee.
Baboomin may waive or reduce the restocking fee at its discretion if the return is caused by a confirmed Baboomin error or verified manufacturing defect.

Non-Returnable Items
The following items are generally not eligible for return or refund unless they arrive with a verified manufacturing defect or Baboomin is unable to fulfill the order:

Custom Shop instruments

Made-to-order instruments

Special color orders

Special configuration orders

Personalized or modified instruments

Pre-order deposits after production has started

Artist deal, endorsement deal, reviewer deal, or special collaboration instruments

B-stock, demo, clearance, discounted, or final-sale instruments

Used, modified, repaired, or altered instruments
-
Accessories, replacement parts, repair parts, strings, batteries, tools, and consumables once opened or used
-
Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, private resellers, marketplace listings, or second-hand platforms
-
Custom Shop, Made-to-Order, and Special Configuration Orders
Custom Shop, made-to-order, and special configuration instruments are built or modified according to customer-selected specifications.
Because these instruments are made for a specific customer, they are generally not eligible for cancellation, return, exchange, or refund after production has started, unless there is a verified manufacturing defect or Baboomin is unable to fulfill the order.
Natural variation in wood grain, weight, color, finish shade, veneer figure, burst/fade/gradient appearance, and handmade details is not considered a defect by itself.

Pre-orders and Deposits
Pre-order and deposit-based orders are subject to the applicable pre-order or deposit terms.
If the customer cancels before production starts and before special materials, parts, or production capacity have been committed, the deposit may be refundable, minus payment processing fees, currency conversion fees, or administrative costs where applicable.
Once production has started, special materials have been ordered, or the configuration has been confirmed, the deposit may become non-refundable.
Production delays do not automatically qualify for cancellation, refund, or compensation unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Dealer Purchases
If the instrument was purchased from an authorized Baboomin dealer, the customer must contact the original dealer for return, exchange, refund, or purchase-related requests.
Dealer purchases are subject to the dealer’s own return and refund policy.
Baboomin does not directly refund orders purchased through dealers. When appropriate, Baboomin may provide technical support or warranty assistance to the dealer or customer, but refund responsibility remains with the original seller.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If the customer believes the instrument arrived damaged, defective, or different from the confirmed order, the customer must contact Baboomin within 7 days of delivery.
The customer must provide:

Photos of the outer shipping box

Photos of all packaging materials

A written description of the issue

Any carrier damage report, if available
Baboomin will review the case and determine the appropriate solution, which may include troubleshooting, replacement parts, local service support, repair, partial compensation, exchange, return approval, or another reasonable solution.
Baboomin will not approve a refund, replacement, or return before reviewing the required evidence.

Setup, Climate, and Transport Adjustment
A bass is a wooden musical instrument and may react to transportation, temperature, humidity, string tension, and local climate.
Changes in neck relief, string action, intonation, pickup height, fret buzz, tuning stability, or setup after shipping are usually considered normal adjustment issues and are not automatically considered defects.
Customers are responsible for regular setup and maintenance, including truss rod adjustment, string action adjustment, intonation, pickup height adjustment, cleaning, and humidity control.
If a setup issue appears unusual, Baboomin may request photos, videos, measurements, and/or a local technician’s inspection report before making a return, refund, or warranty decision.

Refused Delivery or Unclaimed Packages
If a customer refuses delivery, fails to pay required import charges, fails to provide customs information, or does not collect the package within the carrier’s required time, the package may be returned, delayed, abandoned, or destroyed by the carrier or customs authority.
In such cases, the customer may be responsible for:

Any other costs incurred
Refunds, if applicable, will only be considered after the package is safely returned to Baboomin and inspected.

Order Cancellation Before Shipment
For standard in-stock orders, customers may request cancellation before the order has shipped.
If the order has already been packed, handed to the carrier, shipped, or entered the export/customs process, cancellation may no longer be possible. In that case, the order may need to be handled as a return after delivery.
For pre-order, Custom Shop, made-to-order, special configuration, artist deal, dealer, or discounted orders, cancellation terms may differ depending on the order status and production progress.

Refund Timing
Approved refunds are usually processed after the returned item has been received, inspected, and approved by Baboomin.
Refund processing time may vary depending on payment provider, credit card company, bank, currency conversion, and international transaction processing.
Baboomin is not responsible for delays caused by banks, card issuers, payment processors, or currency conversion providers.

Abuse of Return Policy
Baboomin reserves the right to refuse returns, exchanges, refunds, or future orders in cases of return policy abuse, false claims, chargeback abuse, repeated cancellations, intentional damage, unauthorized modifications, or fraudulent activity.

Mandatory Consumer Rights
This policy does not limit any mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
